Andrew Kanime is a seasoned leader in Southern African transport, logistics, and port operations. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Namibian Ports Authority (Namport), the national body responsible for the ports of Walvis Bay and Lüderitz — key gateways to regional and global markets. Under his stewardship, Namport has strengthened maritime connectivity and expanded the competitiveness of Namibia’s ports, reinforcing the country’s role as a logistics hub for SADC and beyond.
Andrew holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), an Honours degree in Accounting and Finance, and multiple undergraduate qualifications in Business Management, Human Resources, and Public Administration. His professional experience spans over two decades across banking, telecommunications, broadcasting, energy, transport, maritime, and logistics sectors.
He also contributes his strategic insight as an independent non‑executive director on the Standard Bank Namibia Holdings Limited board and serves on several industry and institutional boards. His leadership is marked by a commitment to operational excellence, stakeholder collaboration, and sustainable economic growth across the region.
