Namibia has launched the second edition of the State of Logistics (NSoL) Report 2020.
The work was commissioned by the Walvis Bay Corridor Group (WBCG) with the support of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH and the report was skilfully prepared by the Namibian-German Centre for Logistics (NGCL), Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST).
The aim of the State of Logistics Report is to assess and understand the logistics sector in order to emphasise and promote the full potential of logistics for Namibia.
The first State of Logistics report was launched in 2018, serving as the premier benchmark for Namibian logistics activity. It was a noteworthy milestone, since Namibia is one of the first African countries to have developed a report like this. To date it is only South Africa who has an annual report like this. Namibia is therefore taking the lead in terms of information sharing and sector development.
