The Walvis Bay Corridor Group (WBCG) was established in 2000, to drive business development initiatives that increase cargo volumes through the Port of Walvis Bay and the Port of Lüderitz, and along their associated corridors.

Desmond van Jaarsveld represents TransNamib on the Board. He brings rail transport and logistics expertise, contributing to discussions on rail corridor development, intermodal connectivity, and freight efficiency. His role supports WBCG’s efforts to promote balanced transport solutions and strengthen rail’s role in reducing costs, congestion, and environmental impact along major trade corridors.
