Jen Mbayo serves as WBCG’s Business Development Manager for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), providing strategic leadership in expanding and strengthening corridor utilisation between the DRC and the Port of Walvis Bay. He is responsible for promoting the Walvis Bay Corridors as a reliable, competitive gateway for DRC cargo, with a particular focus on mining, industrial, and bulk commodity supply chains.
In this role, Jen engages extensively with government institutions, mining companies, logistics operators, freight forwarders, and regional partners to build strong commercial relationships and unlock new cargo flows along the Walvis Bay–Ndola–Lubumbashi Development Corridor. He works to identify market opportunities, address operational bottlenecks, and facilitate solutions that improve transit efficiency, cost competitiveness, and reliability for corridor users.
Jen plays an important role in strengthening WBCG’s presence and visibility in the DRC, supporting stakeholder engagement, corridor advocacy, and information sharing. He contributes to market intelligence gathering, business development strategies, and the promotion of multimodal transport solutions that integrate road, rail, and port services.
Through his leadership, WBCG continues to deepen its footprint in the DRC, reinforcing cross-border cooperation and supporting regional trade integration. Jen’s work directly contributes to positioning the Walvis Bay Corridors as a strategic alternative gateway for DRC trade, supporting economic development, regional connectivity, and sustainable corridor growth.
