The WBCG Wellness Service is a flagship social development programme of the Walvis Bay Corridor Group (WBCG), designed to integrate health and wellness interventions into transport and logistics corridors.
The service responds to the unique health risks faced by mobile and key populations who live and work along regional trade routes, ensuring that corridor development is inclusive, sustainable, and people-centred.
Since its establishment, the WBCG Wellness Service has evolved into a recognised partner of government and development institutions, delivering accessible, high-impact health services that support uninterrupted trade flows and workforce productivity.
Our Mandate
The mandate of the WBCG Wellness Service is to improve the health and wellbeing of mobile populations and corridor communities while supporting national and regional public health objectives. The Wellness Service operates across Namibia and the broader SADC region through close collaboration with:
Ministries of Health and Social Services

The programme has also supported regional emergency responses, including being the first NGO in Namibia to partner with government on COVID-19 testing and vaccination services.

The WBCG Wellness Service contributes to:
Improved health outcomes for corridor users and communities
Reduced health-related disruptions to trade and logistics operations
Stronger public–private collaboration in health service delivery
Enhanced regional coordination on health and mobility issues
By addressing health as a critical component of corridor efficiency, the programme strengthens the long-term sustainability of regional trade routes.
