WBCG engages stakeholders in Durban

From 26 – 29 September 2022, the WBCG and Namport attended the Transportation Evolution Conference in Durban, South Africa. The conference serves as a good networking platform as well as a business hub for key players in Africa’s transport and logistics industry. Furthermore, the team met with frozen food importers as well as major shipping lines based in Durban, including PIL Shipping, MOL Carriers, and MSC. Increased vessel calls to the Port of Walvis Bay and increased cargo on the Walvis Bay Corridors, among other things, were discussed.

The team also visited the coal terminal in Richards Bay as well as various warehouses and facilities in Durban.
