WBCG incorporates Covid-19 Screening in its Wellness Services offered

Posted: 2 Oct 2020

In support of the national response on Covid-19, the WBCG collaborates with the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) by availing medical personnel and wellness clinics.

WBCG has further integrated Covid-19 screening into our mainstream workplace wellness service package. On 11 September 2020, an employee wellness screening campaign was conducted for Trau Bros Diamond, who were looking to promote the health-seeking behaviour amongst their employees. Employees who visit the WBCG’s mobile clinic, are provided with an array of wellness testing service options which includes the newly added Covid-19 screening,  Body Mass Index (BMI), glucose and cholesterol screening, hypertension testing, as well as HIV counselling and testing. The employees can additionally receive referrals to care and support services and risk reduction counselling in cases where further medical assessments are required.

The WBCG’s Wellness department operates mobile wellness clinics with the focus on providing high quality, evidence based and fast on-site bio-metric wellness screening services for employees within the private and public sectors. In addition to this, the department also has roadside wellness clinics that were established in conjunction with MoHSS and development partners. These clinics offer primary health care related services to the mobile populations within the transport sector. Covid-19 screening services are now available at all the WBCG’s mobile and roadside wellness clinics along the Walvis Bay corridors.
