USAID DCM visits WBCG’s Wellness Container Clinic in Gobabis

On 14 October 2020, the newly appointed USAID Deputy Chief of Mission, Jessica Long visited WBCG’s recently opened KP Friendly Wellness Container Clinic in Gobabis. This was to familiarise herself with the clinic’s operations and activities targeting key populations and other vulnerable groups with HIV prevention, care and treatment services along the Walvis Bay corridors. In partnership with the Ministry of Health and Social Services, PEPFAR, USAID and Intrahealth are supporting the provision of clinical services at the WBCG clinics.

Ms. Long was welcomed by WBCG’s CEO Mr. Mbahupu H. Tjivikua, WBCG Wellness Services Project Manager Mr. Edward Shivute, Regional Health Director of the Omaheke Region Mr. Jeremiah Shikulo, WBCG Wellness Team in Gobabis and project beneficiaries among others. WBCG is planning to officially launch the clinic very soon.
